I chose Youngstown State because...

I chose Youngstown State University because it checked every box—it’s close to home, affordable, and has a special place in my family's history since several of my relatives are proud YSU alumni. Knowing I could stay close to my support system while receiving a great education made my decision an easy one. From my very first visit, the welcoming campus community and school spirit made YSU feel like home, and I knew it was the perfect place to begin this exciting chapter of my life.

My favorite college memory is...

My favorite college memory has been joining Greek life because it gave me the opportunity to build lifelong friendships and become more involved on campus. Through my chapter, I have grown both personally and as a leader while creating memories that I will always cherish. From participating in philanthropy events to spending time with my sisters, Greek life has made my college experience more meaningful and has given me a true sense of belonging.

My advice to incoming students is...

My advice to incoming students is to get involved and put yourself out there from the very beginning. Joining organizations, attending campus events, and meeting new people will help you make meaningful connections and create lasting memories. Stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead to incredible opportunities and make your college experience much more rewarding.
