I chose Youngstown State because...
it offers strong Nursing program, affordable tuition, and friendly community that helps students succeed. I moved from Arizona to Ohio for college so everything is little different here and I didn't have a chance to take a campus tour before starting. However, I received a lot of help from the current students and staff at YSU, they gave clear guides and made me less nervous on my first day of college.
My favorite college memory is...
when I went to puppies palooza with my co-workers. We had a lot of fun playing with the puppies right outside of the Rec Center. There was free food, drinks, karaoke and more, I made a lot of new friends going to that event. They are all friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
My advice to incoming students is...
to take your time exploring majors, programs. Reaching out to alumnis, or current students to ask for advice. I definitely recommend incoming students to take a campus tour to have a general idea of campus life, athletic facilities, academic buildlings, and just to learn more about YSU.
